• Extended Stays: Guests staying exactly four days pay half rate for the fourth day. Guests staying five days or more receive the fifth day free. (Forth day and fifth day discounts may not be combined.)
• Repeat Visits: Guests who book multiple day stays will receive a 12.5% discount on any subsequent multiple day visits that are booked in the same calendar year.

• TRP subscribers receive a 12.5% discount when staying at The Inn two or more days. Please mention that you are a subscriber when making your reservation and present your TRP mailing label when checking in. The 12.5% discount on a two day visit works out to about $25. A TRP subscriber will save over $37 on a three day stay and that will easily pay for a one year TRP subscription.

Rail Traffic Guarantee

If rail traffic averages less than one train per hour for the duration of your stay, you will receive a rebate of 50% off your room bill. This rebate applies IN ADDITION to other discounts that may be in effect during your stay. The low traffic rebate is the only discount that is combined with others. The low traffic rebate must be claimed on the day your room bill is settled.

Discount Policy

All discounts apply only to multi-day stays.

Discounts may not be combined. Example: A five day stay provides a 22% discount on your total room bill; a 12.5% NRHS discount may not be added to that 22% five day discount. Likewise, on five day visits, the fourth day half-rate discount may not be combined with or added to the free fifth day discount.

Room Rates

Two-night minimum stay required for Friday or Saturday nights. On three-day holiday weekends (Labor Day, &c., see below), add $10 per room per day.

Camping Space is available. Tenting, small campers and motor homes up to 32'. Water & electric hook up. Heated shower & bath. Daily rates: $29.50 for 1st camper and $9.50 per each additional person in group. Rate includes morning breakfast and library and porch privileges.

The Inn does not accept credit cards. Accounts may be settled with cash, personal check or travelers checks.

PARKING... Safe, convenient, free, well lighted parking is available in front of The Inn, or on The Inn's private lot at the rear of the building.

Breakfast is complimentary with your stay at The Station Inn.

Reservation Policy

Reservations may be made only by telephone (814-886-4757) or in person. The management can not accept email reservations and will not be responsible for replying to email inquiries about available space at The Inn.

Single night reservations are accepted for Sunday through Thursday. For those wishing to stay on Friday or Saturday, a two night minimum stay is necessary. The two nights can be Thursday and Friday, Friday and Saturday, or Saturday and Sunday. Single night reservations for Friday or Saturday are accepted after Wednesday (of the same week) if rooms are available.

Room reservations may be forfeited if not reconfirmed five days before the scheduled arrival day. Reconfirmation is not necessary if a $50 deposit has been made. All October reservations require a $50 deposit to guarantee your room reservation. A $100 deposit is required for holiday weekend reservations.

Holiday Weekends

Holiday Weekends: For the following 2010 weekends, a three day minimum stay is necessary: Memorial Day (May 29, 30 & 31), Independence Day (July 3, 4 & 5), Labor Day (Sept 4, 5 & 6), and Columbus Day (Oct 9, 10 & 11). A $100 deposit is required for holiday weekend reservations.

Cancellation Policy

Full refund of deposit if cancellation is received three days prior to reservation date. Deposit forfieted otherwise unless room is rented.

Policies and Guidelines

The Inn's guidelines are the result of hosting hundreds of railfans. Our focus is simple: Provide comfortable lodging and tasty breakfasts for rail enthusiasts. The guidelines help us maintain reasonable rates and provide our guests with attractive, pleasant rooms.

The Inn is a no smoking facility. All suites and the Common Room are NO SMOKING areas. Cigarette smoking is permitted only in the Garden and on the porch. Cigar smoking only in the Garden.

Cooking is not permitted in the rooms. The Inn's kitchen may not be used by guests to cook or warm food. Refrigerator space is available for storing food or medicine, or to charge freezer packs. Limited ice supply on hand.

Railfanning is sometimes a muddy experience. We expect guests to examine their shoes before entering The Inn, and recommend that they bring an extra pair of shoes or slippers for in-house use. A surcharge will be levied if mud or grease is tracked into your room.

Check-In

Check-in: 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Later check-in may be arranged. 814-886-4757 Check-out: 11:00 am. Later check-out available but must be arranged upon arrival.

Children & Pets

Youngsters, ages eight and older, are welcome. The Inn's children's age policy is more liberal than most. However, we insist that children under the age of 14 be accompanied by an adult at all times. It is alright if the youngster is a video game enthusiast, but an adult guest must be with the child as he/she plays. Likewise, children must be with an adult when near the railroad. Inn staff are unable to entertain, supervise, transport, or babysit guest children.

The Inn is unable to accommodate pets. The Admiral Peary Doggie Lodge boards pups & kitties at $15.00 per night and is located one mile from The Inn. Call the Doggie Lodge (814-886-4466) to make arrangements.

Campers, R/V, Motorcycles &c.

Limited R/V, Motor Home, camping and tenting space available; includes 50 amp electric hook-up, water hook-up, on-site heated shower & toilet facilities, breakfast, and access to the porch, library, and Common Room. Daily rates for these accommodations are $29.00 single; add $9.50 for each additional camper. Camper rate is the same for weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Motorcycles ... Limited indoor parking for motorcycles; $6.50 for each machine. Wet gear drying area. Basic tools available for bike repair. Cycling guests have replaced broken belts/chains and done tune up stuff. .....Inquiries: 814-886-4757.

Group Rates

Inquire about special discounts for groups....814-886-4757. If you are organizing a group for a railfan trip, call to request a guideline sheet for tips about conducting successful group trips. Our 1902 saloon is available for comfortable group meetings of up to 24 people. Audio visual aids on hand. Inquire. When an organization reserves the entire property for a group, an officer of the organization must visit The Inn prior to finalizing the group's reservation contract. If this involves an overnight stay, the overnight is complimentary for the officer of the organization.
