This place rocks! Now with new owners, The Langs, and awesome new manager the skies the limit.

What's not to love about a place that practically reeks (in a good way!) with the aroma of railroading from every historic inch? Unpretentious but clean and comfortable rooms, a killer porch to watch the parade of massive trains go by, tons of railroad memorabilia, books and pictures to pour over during the slow moments, and tasty communal breakfasts to boot! New owner Alex, taking over from founder and longtime owner Tom Davis (RIP) is keeping the original spirit alive and making subtle-but-substantial improvements to the property, which is sure to enhance the experience further. Not to be missed if you're a train lover!

Very welcoming with comfy "at home" feel. If you're serious about observing today's rail activity, this is the place.

Absolutely amazing hospitality -- our interactions with both owners and guests were warm, inviting, and full of train-nerd delights! (But also fyi, not inaccessible to those who just like trains casually and/or have had to read too much Thomas to their kids along the way). Too many times these days, one settles on the cheapest option, staying in sterile, cookie cutter hospitality establishments. The Station Inn was an *experience* that left a huge impression on me and my family and turned a dreary day of travel (including a flat tire) into the best day of our trip! Rooms are affordable, amenable, clean, and full of "granny house" character. Sir Topham Hat would approve, and so do we!

I stayed at the Station Inn recently just after the new owners took over the establishment. My stay was excellent and I highly recommend this place. First and foremost, this is a place for rail fans young and old. Trains are rumbling by just yards from the front porch and inn 24/7, which I was expecting and was not disappointed. You can spend the whole day doing this but there are also plenty of other rail related activities in the surrounding area which makes this place a prime home base for your rail activities. All of these activities are easily found on line or the friendly inn keepers and staff can direct you in the right direction. The world famous horseshoe curve is the most well know attraction which is close by to the inn. The breakfasts were hearty, plentiful and delicious. Plan on good conversations w the other guests. Some rooms face the tracks so it’s trains 24/7, again, which I went for but if you don’t want that ask for a room not trackside, it’s probably quieter. I however enjoyed the late and early trains, watching bedside w one eye open and then falling back asleep. There are some great restaurants close walking distance from the inn. Definitely recommend this place for kids and I would expect to have kids as guests during weekends and over school holidays. If you enjoy train watching in a friendly, comfortable environment w a front row seat then this can’t be beat!

Great view of NS train lines across the street from front porch! New Owners friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about fail fan stuff. Food was great!
