DESCRIPTION:Noted painter & illustrator J. Craig Thorpe will be presenting on Friday\, August 23 2024 at 7pm through our Artist-in-Residence program.  Thorpe will provide a review of his work\, share his new book\, discuss his artistic approach and methods\, and be available for a Q&A session. Join us at the Station Inn’s Yard Office Lounge (in the basement of the inn) for a unique experience. \nRailroads\, Art\, and American Life\nAvailable at Indiana University Press \nEXPLORE THE PAST\, PRESENT\, AND FUTURE OF RAIL TRAVEL THROUGH 30 YEARS OF ONE ARTIST’S WORK.\nCollecting more than thirty years of paintings and renderings\, Railroads\, Art\, and American Life tells the story of rail transportation in America through the life and works of artist J.\nCraig Thorpe. His artwork depicts not only the golden age of train travel but considers the present and looks forward to a potential future.
