We at The Station Inn are committed to providing a welcoming and comfortable experience for all our guests, including those with disabilities. This page details our efforts towards accessibility on our website and at our bed and breakfast.
Website Accessibility:
We strive to make our website user-friendly and accessible for everyone. We’re following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, which outlines best practices for creating content that can be easily accessed by people with disabilities, including those who use screen readers, have visual impairments, or require assistive technologies.
We are constantly working to improve the accessibility of our website. Accessibility at our Bed and Breakfast:
Our historic B&B was originally constructed in 1866 and modified throughout the years.
- Entrance: The Bed & Breakfast requires ascent of several steps to the porch and main entrance. A chair lift is available upon prior arrangement and confirmation from the Innkeeper.
- Guest Rooms: While the basement and second floor are not wheelchair accessible, we do offer three rooms on the first floor that are accessible without additional stairs (after entering the main entrance)
- The Reading Room, sleeps 2, has a full bathtub with shower
- The CNJ room, sleeps 2. Stall shower, smaller bathroom
- The Lehigh Valley Suite which sleeps 6. Two smaller bathrooms.
- Grab bars are installed in all bathrooms
- Common Areas: Once on the first level, the common room and dining area are easily accessed and maneuverable for a wheelchair. Stairs to the second level are handrail equipped.
- Parking: Parking is across the street from the inn. Guests can be dropped/picked up temporarily right on Front Street in front of the inn.
