Congratulating Michele Sheehan…

We are excited to announce some developments at the Inn.  Effective November 1, Michele Sheehan is now the General Manager of The Station Inn Bed & Breakfast and Yard Office Lounge.  In this new role, Michele will become the official “face” of the Inn.  Michele has been with the Inn for over 10 years, she has been a huge part of our success since 2022, and our guests think the world of her (and so do we!).  Michele will ensure that our guests are greeted with a friendly, warm presence and helped to feel at home upon their arrival.  She will also be responsible for the successful day-to-day operations of the Inn.

Says Michele: “I’m super excited for this wonderful opportunity, and I know Tom Davis would be happy seeing the Inn come back to life!”

Our innkeeper Pat Barry will soon transition to a part-time role, and will be moving on from the Inn in the coming months. Pat has been a key part of our stewardship of The Station Inn after Tom’s passing, and we will forever be tremendously grateful for Pat’s help!  Pat, and now famous dog Sid, have greeted our guests since we took over operations in May of 2022, and said that she thought she’d stay for about three years. We’re excited to see where Pat’s next adventure will take her, whether it’s in a kayak, on a mountain bike, or in a camper!

As we prepare for an eventual re-opening of the Yard Office, we’ve chosen to employ a larger part-time team in favor of a live-in innkeeper.  Michele will manage our growing part-time staff, and will also be taking on responsibility for managing our planned bar & restaurant operations in the Yard Office Lounge.  It’s still a bit too early to estimate when the Yard Office will reopen, but please stay tuned!
