Vale Wood Farms has been a cornerstone of the local community for generations. While the business was established in 1933, the farm has been in the Itle family for well over a century. Their commitment to traditional farming practices and a deep-rooted connection to the land shines through in every product they produce. Known for their delivery trucks, Vale Wood provides delivery services in our area, including straight to the Inn.

In our opinion, the crown jewel of the Vale Wood Farms’ product line is their legendary ice cream, which is crafted with the same care and quality as all of their dairy products. They have a great variety of clever & creative flavor combinations – not the same old chocolate/vanilla/twist soft serve you might find elsewhere. It’s the perfect treat on a warm summer day, making a visit to Vale Wood Farms’ dairy store a must for any sweet tooth. And, after indulging in a few scoops, their kid-friendly play area provides the perfect outlet for that post-ice cream sugar rush.
Why We Love Vale Wood Farms
Tom Davis, the ice-cream-obsessed original owner of The Station Inn, introduced me and my wife to Vale Wood Farms years ago. Ever since our kids were little, we’d pop over to the farm on a Sunday for ice cream cones or milkshakes and let the children play milkman in their mini village.
The Station Inn Cookie Jar
Tom didn’t just love ice cream, he had an overall “sweet tooth”. A Station Inn tradition is our large glass cookie jar, affixed with a sign “Life’s Hard, Cookies Help”, and is always full of something sweet for guests who need a little pick-me-up throughout the day.
In honor of Tom Davis’ “Life’s Hard” cookie jar and his love of Vale Wood Farms’ ice cream, we’re excited to announce our collaboration with Vale Wood Farms to create “The Station Inn Cookie Jar” ice cream flavor. In the spirit of afternoon “coffee and cookies,” this flavor combines the rich taste of coffee with the irresistible crunch of Oreo and chocolate chip cookie chunks. It’s the perfect treat to enjoy while you relax on the front porch during your stay at The Station Inn.
